The Walk
August 18, 2026 · Romans 12:2
Renewed Minds

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
Romans 12:2
Have you ever heard the phrase, “You can’t serve two masters”?
There are two masters at play here: the world — and the ways of the enemy — or the things that are not of this world: God.
I’ve felt that pull too. The scroll. The comparison. The pressure to hustle for approval. The world is consistently telling us one thing, while Scripture is often telling us something completely different. That is why it matters so much that we, as believers, are transformed by the renewing of our minds — so we can live the life God has for us, hear what He is speaking, and see what He is trying to make known.
Everything around us pulls our attention away from what Scripture calls us to do and who we are meant to be. We must renew our minds every day and guard our hearts from the things of this world that come to steal our joy and our faith in God.
Conformity happens quietly. Transformation happens when we keep returning — to prayer, to Scripture, and to the presence of Jesus — until His voice becomes louder than the noise.
The walk is daily. The renewing is daily too.
This Week's Takeaway
Every day, take time to pray, sit with God, and be in Scripture. That intentional time is the first step toward the renewing of your mind.
