A Lamp for My Feet
“Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path.”
Psalm 119:105
God is the light of this world, and His Word is our source of direction. When we read the Bible, we let that light lead our feet.
The path He has for us — the purpose and the calling — only comes into view when we have Him, and His light, to see by.
This verse is clear about one thing: God is not going to show us our whole future. We still have to stay faithful to Him. Notice what it does not say. It never mentions Him revealing everything at once, or shining a light way out in the distance. His light is near our feet. Staying faithful to His Word is how we keep walking in that light, and how it keeps directing our steps.

Stay in the Word for the step in front of you. God is not showing you the whole road at once. Trust the light near your feet, and let it direct the next one.
